About Umrah

The blessed minor pilgrimage that brings you closer to Allah

Understanding Umrah

Umrah is a pilgrimage to Mecca that can be performed at any time of the year, offering spiritual purification and divine blessings.

The Four Essential Rituals

Enter the sacred state of Ihram by wearing the prescribed white garments and making the intention (niyyah) to perform Umrah. This state represents purity, equality, and devotion to Allah.

Perform seven counter-clockwise circles around the Kaaba while reciting prayers and remembering Allah. Each circle should be completed with humility and devotion.

Walk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah, following the path of Hagar. This ritual teaches us about perseverance, trust in Allah, and the importance of seeking Allah's mercy.

Complete the Umrah by cutting or trimming the hair. Men may choose to shave their heads completely (Halq) or trim their hair (Taqsir), while women should only trim a small portion of their hair.
